AMU Guest teacher of Applied Maths honoured

ALIGARH: Dr. Ghazala Yasmin, Guest Teacher, Department of Applied Mathematics, ZH College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University has been awarded the "A. K. Agarwal Prize for Best Publication of the Year 2014". The award was given to Dr. Yasmin in the International Conference on Special Functions and their Applications (ICSFA-2014) held at Thapar University, Patiala.
Dr. Yasmin has received this award for her paper entitled "Some properties of Legendre-Gould Hopper polynomials and operational methods", published in "Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Application".
The conference focused on a wide range of topics including special functions, Lie theory, Ramanujan's mathematics, fractional calculus, combinatorics, q-series and continued fractions, applications of special functions to physical sciences and engineering etc.
